Blog Writing For Business - The Smart Way To Engage

Regular engagement with customers is a key strategy to build presence in the marketplace, increase brand loyalty and drive sales.  The other key point is ‘relevance’.  Delivering quality information that’s relevant to prospective customers will capture their interest and keep them engaged.  

The main problem for small business operators on the Gold Coast and in Toowoomba is having the time to develop engaging content and deliver it through social media and other channels on a consistent and regular basis.  Most people start out with good intentions, but ultimately, the day to day commitments of running a business often get in the way with marketing getting pushed to the side.  In today’s blog we’re going to explore customer engagement through blog writing.  
Blog writing is an effective way to deliver regular and consistent content to the marketplace that increases a businesses credibility and engages with customers.  Plus, when it’s posted on-line it’s available 24/7.

A blog that catches one person’s eyes is just as easily dismissed by many others!  Using a title that encapsulates the message with catchy words will generally grab some attention, and you only have about 250 words or roughly three paragraphs to grab the reader, deliver the message and possibly get some click through.  In terms of general blogging today’s writing is on the too long side, however, as a feature article we have more scope to flesh out the topic and increase the length.

A great title but weak content may get a lot of initial views, but the flow on effect will be minimal.  Don’t just punch out a blog quickly so you can move on to the next job.  Take time to craft the content and make it relevant to its readers.  Perhaps allow a little bit of time over a few days crafting and revising it before hitting the publish button.  The shorter the length, the better.

Your blog, its content, and perhaps a corny title will be linked to your brand as it spreads across the net.  Stick to what you know and focus your blog writing around your core business.  You can become more adventurous on topics and scope the better you get. 
 
Blog writing is like any skill, the more you do it, the better you become.  Dive in and have a go!  In the end if it’s not for you, then don’t waste your time.  Stick with what you do best and contact Present Professionally.
