The Present Professionally journey started over 20 years ago. Working with government and in the private sector I saw that individuals needed help to identify opportunities and to take clear and positive steps to maximise them. The world has changed over time with the explosion of online job and career opportunities for individuals. Digital resources, social media, personal websites, and online job sites (with the associated changes in resumes and career documents) have become the norm over relatively few years. People need to adapt to the changing environment so they can grab opportunities and maximise the outcomes as they climb their 'career ladder' in this ever changing world.
I found early on that job seekers on the Gold Coast and Toowoomba are good at being star employees but don’t necessarily have the skills to put that in writing, or ‘up in bright lights’ for others to see.
Very few people are comfortable ‘talking up’ their skills and experience. They often need help to present their skills through engaging Resumes and Career Documents to maximise employment opportunities. It’s these things that motivate me and my team every day in our work with individuals in Toowoomba, the Gold Coast and across Australia who are looking for that edge to reach the next level.
A bit about my story . . .
In addition to multiple qualifications in business, training and professional development, and in other disciplines, my history includes a variety of senior management roles in both the public and private sectors, including many years as a company director. My professional experience has been formed in government, the financial services industry, the training (VET) industry, the emergency services, HR (or talent acquisition as many people say today!), and most importantly in business development, growth and marketing work.
I have built the services offered at Present Professionally around the important areas individuals need to get right, so they can be at the top of their game. It would be our pleasure to work in partnership with you and achieve your goals.
